Mix cool water (for all colored hemp) or lukewarm water (for natural colored hemp) with a teaspoon of mild laundry detergent (like Woolite). Use a cotton cloth dipped in the soapy water to GENTLY scrub the hemp fabric. Wipe the shoes with a clean cloth dampened with plain water to remove all of the soap residue. 

Let air dry for at least 24 hours out of the sun.
